Villa Bayu is a charming property located on the Bukit, an area south of the airport popular for its breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and Bali’s famous sunsets. This villa is an ideal getaway destination, away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak but only 3 minutes by car to Padang Padang beach (a legendary surfing spot), 10 minutes to the Uluwatu Temple, 20 minutes to Jimbaran Bay and its world class hotels and restaurants and 25 minutes to Nusa Dua, Kuta and Bali’s International Airport.

The villa consists of three buildings, positioned in a lush tropical garden, all featuring high ceilings and large ceiling fans under traditional thatched roofs. The main building accommodates the spacious living and dining area and the modern open-plan granite-topped kitchen. This area is furnished with a dining table for up to 8 guests and wooden Balinese furniture, including sofas with cushions. There is a flat screen television with satellite channels to enjoy, with over 50 international programs and a DVD player with a surround sound system. The living and dining areas overlook the swimming pool, gazebo and the spectacular Indian Ocean. The surrounding garden is lit up at night, providing a perfect venue for a BBQ under the stars.

The four air-conditioned bedrooms occupy two 2-storey wings on either side of the main building, making the villa an ideal location for two families to holiday together. The two upstairs bedrooms have king-size beds and verandas, and each of both downstairs bedrooms has 2-single beds, a terrace and its own small private garden. All bedrooms feature large folding doors opening up to the terraces that boast uninterrupted views to the ocean and give guests a private space to relax. Each bedroom has its own open-air bathroom with standing shower.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a cook top, oven, juicer, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery and microwave oven. The trained staff includes a private chef, housekeepers, gardener and security guards. The staff will take care of all your arrangements from planning meals and arranging day trips, organizing in-house spa treatments.

Composed of a Balinese-style main house and guesthouse overlooking a gorgeous pool and lawns, Uma Nina makes the perfect Bali villa holiday hideaway for up to 10 guests.

Accommodation

Owned and designed by an acclaimed British interior designer and her family, the two-storey Uma Nina sits in peaceful gardens. From its hilltop position, it commands unobstructed views over southern Bali, the sea and distant Gunung Agung volcano.Inside, natural materials and crisp contemporary design harmonise with Balinese furnishings to create calm, light and spacious interiors. Outside, you are greeted with a guesthouse, swimming pool, pavilion and idyllic secret garden set into manicured lawns.

Approach and Entrance

Tucked into private grounds, Uma Nina is a haven of tranquillity. As you approach the main house, you are greeted with a serene circular courtyard dominated by a playing Balinese fountain. The entrance to the villa is as elegant and tropical as its surroundings. At the end of an open-sided porch, two fine Balinese stone statues guard the heavy wood front door.

Living Spaces

Step into the sleek, open-plan living space that forms the heart of Uma Nina. Muted stones and creams co-ordinate with Balinese antiques, carved wood and plump sofas, surrounding you with comfort. A solid wood dining table for 10 guests stands nearby. From the living room, expansive floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead to the pool deck and offer panoramic garden views. Climb the staircase and you will also find a huge balcony furnished with a large sumptuous sofa perfect for early evening drinks and soaking up the views.

Kitchen

Set off the main living space, the Uma Nina kitchen embodies sleek and chic. Thoughtfully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, it incorporates a fan oven, hob, freezer, microwave and large American-style refrigerator. Conjure up your own Balinese banquets using fresh ingredients and spices from the local markets. Or ask your personal chef to prepare your choices from the delicious in- house menus or perhaps even your own favourite dishes.

Bedrooms

Uma Nina offers five/six beautiful, air-conditioned bedrooms. The main house’ ground floor has a stunning master bedroom with a king-sized four-poster bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and natural stone bathtub and a secret garden with its own private Bali. Completing everything is two upstairs four-poster bedrooms and a downstairs guest bedroom with two queen-sized beds that can form a double, all with en-suites. The guest house, meanwhile, has a double bedroom and spa room/double bedroom, both with ensuite showers.

Guest House

A few steps from the main house, the tropical-style guest house provides a luxurious home-from-home. The ground floor is a dedicated media room furnished with sumptuous sofas, state-of-the-art entertainments and a pool table. Follow the exterior staircase and you are greeted with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. This connects to a stylish double bedroom with an en-suite shower, and a separate spa room, also with ensuite shower, which can be used for spa treatments or as another double bedroom.

Dining Pavilion

A cool and comfortable sanctuary by day. And an enchanting venue for cocktails and dinner by night. Set beside the pool, the Uma Nina outdoor pavilion offers a wonderfully exotic setting for relaxing and alfresco dining. Take the stepping-stones over the lawn and settle into the comfortable sofas under the natural alang-alang roof. Then sit around the solid wood Balinese table, lingering over dinner as you drink in the balmy evening air and magical views over the illuminated pool.

From the rolling lawns studded with scented bougainvillea and frangipani trees to leading edge home entertainments and a team of ever-helpful house staff, the owners of this exceptional villa have catered for almost every possible whim.

Pool & Garden

The showpiece of the gardens is a stunning, minimalist-style14m x 6m freshwater pool. Bordering it is a sundeck of locally salvaged ironwood lined with ten wicker dayloungers and umbrellas. Beyond here, silky lawns and flowing water features add to the exotic calm. For outdoor dining, there is a superb six-burner barbecue for you or the house cook to sizzle up fresh seafood and other meals. And off the master bedroom, an exquisite private garden with a terrazzo bathtub awaits.

Entertainment

Uma Nina is equipped with cutting-edge media and entertainments. Unlimited wireless Internet is provided and the main house has a flatscreen satellite TV in the master bedroom and iPod docking stations. The guesthouse, meanwhile, boasts a widescreen plasma TV, cable, DVD player, surround sound, Wii box with games and a full-size American pool table. There is also a full library of books, selection of toys and games, and outside, a large petanque pitch and croquet and badminton sets.

Extra Services

Uma Nina has a delightful team of trained, uniformed staff, including a cook, housekeepers, gardener, security guards and driver whose services are included in the day rate.

They will provide local food shopping and cooking, with your cook preparing your chosen dishes from in-house menus or any special requests you might have.. In addition, we can arrange Balinese massages and spa/beauty treatments for guests in Uma Nina’s spa room.
