‘Vara’ means a blessing – so named and designed by the owners as this quiet space in the popular Seminyak area gives its guests a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful experience!

Located in a secluded lane off Jalan Drupadi, Villa Vara is just a short distance away from the main Jalan Laksmana, the arterial road of Seminyak. This Jalan Seminyak (perpendicular to Jalan Drupadi on one end and within walking distance!) is appropriately known as ‘Eat Street’. There are many restaurants available and shops/designer boutiques to browse in but it primarily runs from Ku-De-Ta, La Luciola, The Living Room and the Oberoi hotel right up to the crossroad to Raya Kerobokan. Jalan Laksmana is a winding road that further leads up to Jalan Petinenget, which offers even more restaurants and concept dining places to choose from. The beach too is just a few minutes drive or a short walking distance from the villa. Therefore dining, shopping and spa facilities are all available within a radius of one kilometer of the villa!

A few hundred meters from the villa in a different direction is a street of bars and nightlife known as Jalan Dhyana Pura. And it’s not just the salsa bars and live music clubs that make this place vibrant; there are local boutiques, art shops and excellent restaurants here too.

In keeping with local traditions, the villa has been blessed with a local Balinese ceremony called “Melaspas”. This ceremony is generally conducted to seek divine blessings for everybody who come in contact with the villa, be it guests or staff who service the place!

VILLA VARA ACCOMMODATION

Inspired by tropical Balinese living concept, Villa Vara is privately owned and individually styled, reflecting the personality of its owners. These luxury private villas appeal to visitors who yearn for a holiday villa that is refreshingly different from its neighbors, while still being nestled within the security and convenience of a private enclave.

It has an innovative design that defines the relationship between nature and functionality. Every structural element has a distinct sense of purpose without compromising on style or comfort. The entire property has been built with integrity to ensure that it operates with the smallest possible carbon footprint.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioners and double wardrobes fitted with safety deposit lockers for the convenience of the guests. The bedrooms are also equipped with ceiling fans. There are also adequate seating amenities available in all the bedrooms.

All the four air-conditioned bedrooms and the main living area overlook the swimming pool on two sides along with beautiful tropical landscape around the pool area. The main pavilion houses the living space, dining area and the kitchen.

Main – Living/Dining Area

The living area is ideal for lounging and relaxation for the family or for a group of friends. This area is equipped with a big television and a music system fully installed with a high quality surround sound system for the listening pleasure of our guests.

The dining area consists of a luxurious dining table and chairs with comfort and practicality in mind.

The open plan kitchen is located behind the living and dining area with a fully fitted gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, water gallon, refrigerator, china ware and glass ware to cater to all kinds of needs.

Master Bedroom and Second Bedroom

Also called twin guesthouse because the two guest rooms are similar and only separated by a unique water feature that holds a statue of the revered Ganesha (the Hindu god with an elephant trunk). Both these bedrooms overlook the swimming pool. One of the twin rooms features a double bed (the master bedroom), the other – twin beds which are for ideal use for siblings or single young adults on a sharing basis. The rooms are fully equipped with large wardrobes, which also have safe deposit boxes installed inside the wardrobes. The en-suite bathrooms have open showers with 24-hour hot and cold running water and exclusive guest amenities and supplies that are replenished when the villa is serviced on a daily basis.

Third Bedroom

This is located adjacent to the living room in the main area. This bedroom offers a double bed and also has a desk and chair if the guest requires to place laptops and other electronic devices during their stay.

Fourth Bedroom/Study

This room (on the other side, adjacent to the dining area) has twin day beds along with a desk and chair, a television with a DVD player. Ideally, this room is great for young children, teenagers and young adults

Living Area

The combined living and dining area is part of the main house overlooking the length of the swimming pool. The living area has been designed for casual comfort and is the perfect place for family and friends to congregate at any time of the day or night. This area has been left open so the view to the pool and the landscaped area is not obstructed. It allows guests to move around freely between the bedrooms and this common assigned space.

Dining Space

The Dining space is in the other side of the living area, in front of the kitchen. This has been designed in such a way so guests can enjoy a meal while listening to music, watching TV or a movie along with easy accessibility to the kitchen. The elegant dining table allows for a prestigious private dining experience if guests so wish.

Kitchen

The kitchen area is located behind the living and dining area. The kitchen is fully fitted with a four-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, and cutlery dining set, chinaware and maxi bar. The aqua gallon has been installed on one side of the kitchen so it is easily accessible to all the guests in the villa at all times. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils (pots, pans, ladles, knives etc.) including crockery, cutlery and glassware. Most of the crockery provided has been sourced from “Jenggala” (the state-of-the-art designer boutique for high quality and handcrafted ceramic goods of international standards available in Bali).

Landscaped Garden & Pool

The centre of the villa is dominated by a swimming pool. It is surrounded by a tropical garden with green grass, palm, the ubiquitous frangipani trees and others tropical plants. The steps to the pool are on the opposite side of the bedrooms and thus located so that its in proximity to the outdoor shower area and for easy access to the relaxing bale with the day bed or the other corner bale with the bar and barbeque facilities.

Bale (Gazebo) – The ‘Relaxing Bale’ & The ‘Bale Bar’

On other side of the pool directly across the living/dining area are two bales:

1. Bale with a day bed. This directly overlooks the swimming pool. Guests can take a dip in the pool and then relax, read or take a massage on this bale. Both the bales are equipped with fans for guests to use in the warmer months

2. A newly constructed bale with a fully equipped barbeque bar has been installed for the pleasure of our guests. This bale offers a fridge and BBQ as well as a kitchen sink – ideal place to hold a barbeque party!

VILLA SANTAI ACCOMMODATION

Single-storey Villa Santai is bathed in light creating a natural sense of space and a casual ambience. Built around the pool, each of the four air-conditioned bedrooms has a semi-outdoor ensuite bathroom.

Main Building

The main pavilion, which also overlooks the pool, houses an air-conditioned TV room as well as a living space, dining area and kitchen which is fully-equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, a juicer, a water dispenser, a refrigerator, a maxi bar and cutlery, china and glass ware.

The proximity of the dining table and chairs to the living area means that guests can enjoy a movie while they eat.

The main pavilion has secure doors to stop children reaching the pool unattended.

Guest House

Facing the pool are two identical guest houses. Each has twin and double beds, a wardrobe with a safety deposit box and a bathroom with bath tub, open shower and exclusive guest shampoo and soap.

On entering the villa, guests will discover the magic of the Island of the Gods in the landscaped garden and living area which is modeled on a traditional Balinese compound. A stay at Villa An Tan is the perfect choice for a family trip or a getaway amongst friends.

VILLA AN TAN ACCOMMODATION

The four-bedroom villa occupies an area of 800sqm and comprises a main building with a master room, an open living area, a dining room, a kitchen and entertainment rooms which can be converted into extra bedrooms. There is also a guest house which overlooks the swimming pool.

Main Building

The main pavilion houses the kitchen, living space and dining area, and has an air-conditioned TV room and a master bedroom. The living area is a spacious, comfortable place to entertain while the adjoining dining area with elegant table and chairs allows guests to watch television while eating. In the corner, the kitchen is fully-equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, a juicer, a water dispenser, a refrigerator and china and glass ware. The living and dining areas are secured with sliding doors to prevent children from using the pool unattended.

Master Guest House

Across the swimming pool from the main building, the master guest house has fine palimanan stone steps which lead from the garden to the air-conditioned bedroom which has a king-sized bed, wardrobe with safety deposit box, bathroom and open shower.

Guest House

The two twin guest houses are separated by a bubble pool which is an extension of the main swimming area. Each of these air-conditioned rooms has a twin and double bed, wardrobe with safety deposit box and a bathroom with tub, open shower and exclusive supplied shampoo, conditioner and soaps.

Ground Landscape

At the heart of Villa An Tan is an infinity pool surrounded by lawn and tropical garden. Guests can cook up a storm at the barbecue kitchen and bar which is between the master guest house and the main building while on the other side of the pool, a gazebo has a daybed where one can relax and enjoy the warmth of Bali.

Stylish Villa Retreat
Villa Sam is a tastefully appointed three-bedroom retreat located within the tranquil confines of the semi-rural village of Umalas. It is an area blessed with rice terraces and natural scenery where the pace of daily life is somewhat more laid-back to the nearby Seminyak. Stylish shopping opportunities as well as fine wining and dining venues are just a 10 minute drive away.

Outdoor Living
Villa Sam is part of a family owned complex with around the clock security and ample parking for private vehicles. The villa is nestled within its own compound and is accessed via an elaborately carved Balinese gate. A series of stepping stones that cross a small lotus pond reveal a generous sized garden filled with native plants and other species of tropical greenery.

There is a full length swimming pool edged by a timber deck with reclining sun-loungers as well as an outdoor table setting for alfresco dining under the stars. However, the focal point of the garden is a traditionally thatched lounging pavilion complete with soft cushions and crisp white curtains that blow in the breeze. It is the perfect niche to escape the heat of the day and curl up with a good book or take pleasure in an afternoon nap.

Modern Comforts
Structurally Villa Sam is a modern L-shaped building that has been inspired by elements of classic Balinese design such as a traditionally thatched roof top. The open-style dining area, with its elevated ceiling, features a rustic table fashioned out of a single length of timber that has been created for long evenings of social interaction. This is complemented by a contemporary kitchen with high-end appliances and all necessary items of tableware.

The integrated living environment is open to the elements and is orientated towards the pool. It is dominated by an oversized modular sofa that can seat up to six adults in absolute comfort. There is also a large screen plasma television with satellite channels and home entertainment system for relaxed viewing.

Villa Sam houses an eclectic collection of artistry that extends to rustic artefacts, black and white photos of yesteryear Bali and other eye-catching pieces. There are also vibrantly coloured paintings, warm textiles and trendy home wares that are combined to create a look that can be described as tropical chic.

Private Sleeping Quarters
Downstairs overlooking the pool is a pair of bedroom suites; both feature a canopied double bed and a restful sitting area for moments of quiet contemplation. There is ample space for the storage of personal belongings in each room leading directly into a luxury en-suite bathroom. A deep terrazzo bathtub big enough for two and semi-outdoor shower ensures spa styled bathing indulgence.

Another bedroom suite is secluded upstairs for guests seeking some extra privacy. It has its own little foyer decorated with a carved chair and a series of Balinese prints adorning the walls. Glass panelled doors open wide to reveal an adult sanctuary that is bathed in natural sunlight. The huge canopied bed is fitted with pristine linen and promises nights of undisturbed slumber. While the creamy stone en-suite bathroom with its terrazzo bathtub lends itself to relaxing bathing rituals at the end of each day spent exploring the island.

Splendid Serenity
Located in an area known for its rice terraces and serene ambience in the semi-rural village of Umalas, Villa Joe is a well-designed three bedroom retreat that is perfect escape for seasoned travellers. Villa Joe is removed from the upbeat pace of mainstream tourism yet still suitably distanced from the cosmopolitan area of Seminyak for nights of wining, dining and after dark entertainment.

Embracing the Outdoors
As part of a family owned complex, Villa Joe is subject to around the clock security and there is also plenty of parking for rented vehicles. The villa is enveloped by a tropical garden filled with indigenous plants and green lawn. It is accessed via a pair of timber doors in a style that cocoons the villa from the outside world.

The garden features a traditionally thatched lounging pavilion for shaded relaxation. It is a romantic spot to cuddle up with a loved one, partake in a well-deserved afternoon sleep or catch up with some reading. Alternatively, Wi-Fi access extends to the pavilion for guests needing to check in with the office or connect with those back at home. A generous sized swimming pool is surrounded by reclining sun-loungers for leisurely hours spent soaking up the sun.

Tropical Living
Architecturally, Villa Joe is a modern residence yet there are certain elements that have drawn inspiration from the timeless principles of Balinese design. The thatched rooftop and open living concept is typical of village homes across the island. The integrated dining and kitchen environment has been created for entertaining and social evenings of good food, wine and conversation. A long timber table is surrounded by high-backed chairs with vibrant red cushions while the gourmet kitchen is filled with branded appliances and stylish tableware.

The aesthetic décor throughout Villa Joe is distinctly oriental and the walls are adorned with a collection of classic Chinese prints. Furnishings in daring shades of black and red catch the eye from afar. There are paper lanterns, bold textiles and artistic objects that harmoniously come together to give this villa a charisma of its very own.

The lounge area continues the oriental theme with comfortable sofas in polished dark timber and contrasting red cushions. For home entertainment there is also a large screen plasma television with satellite channels and a high-tech DVD/music system.

Spacious Suites
There are two bedroom suites located downstairs facing the pool. Each features its own unique décor yet they are similar in terms of having a deluxe sized canopied bed and a quiet sitting area to take pleasure in some quiet time alone.
