Upon stepping into this brand new villa, the immediate feeling is one of youthful energy and luxurious comfort. The villa designer touches are instantly evident from the very first sight, color combination of the walls and well placed, carefully selected art objects: modern painting and turn of the century Bali photographs on the walls, and primitive wood/stone carvings that sits on polished wood pedestals. Combined with refined designer furniture, and views of tropical greenery all around, the villa permeates the new beat of Bali.

The modern touch continues into the garden and pool area, merging the inside of the house with the outside surroundings. Locally available volcanic stones called “Batu Candi are used extensively through out the outdoor areas, a perfect example of how the use of natural materials can be adapted into a tropical contemporary design.

The lush tropical garden design takes on an almost geomantic approach, which compliments the contemporary design of the interior. Belonging mostly to the palm and heliconia species, the plants used through out the garden truly reflected the feeling of tropical living. Two Batu Candi sundecks rest at either side of the natural stone pool, one exposed to the sunlight, which is perfect for sunbathing, while the other placed under three mature trees, perfectly suited for lying under the shade for some long neglected siestas.

Roofed in traditional Balinese tile roof, this one storied villa is comprised of three bedrooms; two on either side of the semi open living area flanked by a 2 tiered pond, and another to the one side of the air conditioned living room. All three bedrooms have its own ensuite bathrooms and all equipped with 33 channeled cable TV.

The living areas of the villa are the best combination of both worlds: indoors and outdoors. The indoor living room is fully air conditioned and houses the sofa area with audio-visual systems housed in cabinets. Entertainment facilities consist of a cable television, DVD player, and stereo system also supplied are a selection of DVDs, books and board games. To the other end of this area sits a long, highly polished teak.

The table that enables 8 to sit and dine comfortably. Behind the dinning table is the pantry with minibar, refrigerator, and sink. All around are ceiling to floor windows, which opens up to the semi out door living area, effectively combines the two into one large living space. Here one finds a six-person round.

All floors are made of white Terrazzo tiles divided by glass, which again shows the resourcefulness of the designer when it comes to the combination of materials used. The polished Terrazzos continue into the 3 air conditioned bedrooms, where the feeling of tropical contemporary designs persevered, complete with a split unit air conditioner, wooden built in closets, a personal safety box and large windows and doors opening onto the garden or pool.

All bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms, which has separate shower and tub areas, and also uses Terrazzo through out the floor, tub and washbasin. All bedrooms are equipped with a cable television, making a lazy morning even harder to get up to.

This villa design accomplished in capturing what Bali Modern is all about contemporary design, minimalism, space, and attention to detail. This three-bedroom Villa at Villa Vitodi is entered via an impressive hand-carved Balinese gate.villa located in Oberoi, Seminyak. Stepping stones lead across a smooth lawn towards a small ornamental pond flanked by bulrushes. This rests in front of a Balinese Hindu feature known as the aling aling, a short screen wall designed to protect the property from troublesome and malign influences, because evil spirits have great difficulty in turning corners. Guests will now find themselves in a walled courtyard garden boasting a charming, deeply cushioned relaxation pavilion known as a ˜bale bengong beside an enticing 8 x 2.5 metre lap pool. The garden is planted with heliconia and a sweet scented frangipani tree. The wide lawn offers an attractive spot for sunbathing and is furnished with three sunloungers, while the remainder of the area is dominated by a large thatched open living and dining pavilion with robust coconut wood pillars and a parquet floor. Cooled by gentle breezes and ceiling fans, the style is minimalist and modern and the decor is crisp and fresh.

The two large air-conditioned upstairs bedrooms are mirror images of each other; each is furnished with a four poster queen size bed with muslin drapes, a dressing table, mirror, bedside tables and lamps, TV and DVD player. Each bedroom is complemented by a dressing area and en-suite bathroom. The dressing areas are equipped with hairdryer and plenty of storage space, and the stylish adjoining bathrooms each have a shower with a terrazzo stand, toilet and washbasin above a non-slip floor.

The villa is characterised by broad white Palimanan stone pillars and thick walls, and the sunny open living area is equipped with a stereo music system and tastefully adorned with local artefacts. Contemporary furnishings include daybeds accessorised with colourful cushions and a low table; ceiling fans and bamboo roller blinds are fitted for the comfort of the guests.

The main building, with its tiled roof, is located adjacent to the living pavilion and is also open to the garden. This building features a sparkling grey terrazzo floor and houses an open plan dining area furnished with a chunky dining table with ten chairs.

Immediately next to this area is a self-contained kitchen, complete with gas hob, microwave and fridge, and flanked by a serving counter with a large hatch.
The large air-conditioned master bedroom is located downstairs and boasts a warm parquet floor, a four-poster queen size bed swathed in muslin drapes, a dressing table, mirror, bedside tables and lamps, and satellite TV and DVD player. The room is light and airy with windows on two sides, and the style is simple and uncluttered. The dressing area, conveniently positioned between the bedroom and the en-suite bathroom, is equipped with hairdryer and safe deposit box, and offers plenty of storage space.

The adjoining open-air bathroom features a sunken terrazzo bathtub, a shower with a pebbled floor, a toilet and a washbasin.

Located in the picturesque area known as Umalas, the three ensuite bedroom villa, Umah Duri, is a short ten minute drive by car to the upscale areas of Seminyak and Legian, which boast some of the finest shopping, dining, and nightlife on the island, along with several fine beaches ideal for swimming and surfing. This contemporary three-bedroom Asian-influenced villa provides a cosy yet open-air lodging from which to escape the bustle of downtown and retire into ones own private world.

Guests approach the villa by passing by the security post at the entrance, and then through a stone yin-yang mosaic entrance. A long walled walkway flanked on both sides by blooming tropical bamboo native to Bali adds another level of privacy.

Two separate buildings constitute the main living areas of the villa, separated by an open lawn and swimming pool, and natural tiled walkways lined in decorative smooth stones. The slightly elevated main building consists of a living area and kitchen flanked on both sides by wrap-around veranda and two bedrooms with private ensuite bathrooms. A formal dining terrace is located to the far right of the structure. The master bedroom and its ensuite bathroom are situated in the second building. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and come with security safety boxes.

Dividing the shaded wrap-around porch of the main building into two distinct areas is the main living room, which can be opened up for natural ventilation or closed off by full-length sliding glass doors. All the walls are covered with natural colour paliman stones which give a wonderful outdoor feeling to this room. The furniture is a mix of sculpted modern and antique styles. This contemporary Asian-influenced villa provides an open-air lodging from which to escape the bustle of downtown and retire into ones own private world. A traditional village of Banjar Padang and paddy fields are framing the access ways to Villa Baliku.

The villa was carefully designed in minimalist modern, accented with touches of Balinese elements and selective usage of natural materials. Two semi-separate buildings constitute the main living areas of the villa, separated by an open lawn and swimming pool, and natural Palimanan tiled walkways.

The main building consists of a living area, dining area for 6 people and a kitchen. The living area is adjoining with the master bedroom with a large private ensuite bathroom. The design is dedicated to have true tropical living experience, maximizing enjoyment of soothing breeze against the burning sun.

A cute dining terrace is located to the far left of the structure, allows the guests to have an easy and nice breakfast by the pool. Villa Baliana is a private home strategically located in the heart of Legian area close to all what tourists’ needs restaurants, shopping centers and walking distance to the beach. It is one of very few homes of this standard in such close proximity to “Legian Beach”.

Accommodation

Villa Baliana is a centrally located two storey solid brick, 3-bedroom home set on a 1,000 m2 block with around 150 m2 of living space.

Master Bedroom

This master bedroom features a double bed, a built-in wardrobe. This fully air-conditioned bedroom opens onto the back terrace with a beautiful outlook of the garden and swimming pool. It is equipped with a private en-suite bathroom fitted with toilet, hand-basin shower, hot and cold running water.

The other two bedrooms are also air-conditioned. Both bedrooms have a separate doorway leading to a shared en-suite bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and hand-basin. One bedroom is fitted with a double bed & the other with two single beds.

Living Area

The downstairs living area also opens onto the back terrace that runs across the entire end of the house, with views of the garden & swimming pool. The lounge area is L-shaped and is comfortably furnished.

The kitchen opens onto part of the living area that is furnished with a low table with cushions, that also serves as the indoor dining area which is part of the L-shaped living room.

Swimming Pool

The ‘figure eight’ shaped swimming pool (10 mtr X 5 mtr) is blue tiled and has a maximum depth of 1,50 metres and 1,00 metres at the shallow end. There is also a small section of the pool which is divided off from the main swimming area by an underwater tiled wall, – designed for small children to bathe in safety, and has a depth of 70 cm.
