The Setting
The property is entered via a traditional Balinese gate, sheltered by a thatched roof and framed in a patchwork of random rocks. A pathway leads past bulrush ponds and water spouts, and a welcome ensemble of five gamelan musicians hand-carved out of local paras stone. Stepping stones weave through the neat garden, past palm trees, dwarf lanterns, tipsy earthenware pots and sweet scented frangipani, between twin lotus ponds stocked with fish, to the 9 x 6 metre stand-alone living pavilion, which is centrally positioned, facing the ocean and bordering the pool deck. This room is completely encompassed by glass to preserve the view through the garden; the clever design allows guests to completely fold back the doors to create an open-air pavilion, cooled by natural breezes and ceiling fans. Bamboo blinds on all four sides can be dropped for privacy and shade. Featuring a cool terrazzo floor, the room is tastefully furnished with deeply-cushioned sofas, a low coffee table and stylish lamps. A selection of games and magazines is provided for the use of the guests, together with a high quality music system with surround sound provided by speakers hidden in the roof.

Positioned on the seaward side, aspected west towards the magnificent sunsets, the angled swimming pool appears to overflow into the beachfront garden. A timber sundeck is located on one side, the raised position ensuring that it catches the cool sea breezes. It is furnished with four sunbeds and two umbrellas and there is also an outdoor shower. A Buddha statue rests at one end overlooking the fresh green coastal lawns, which are dotted with coconut palms. The gardens are perfect for weddings, parties and functions, and also provide a great play area for children.

Dining & Kitchen
Approached by stepping stones, the striking hexagonal dining pavilion is completely open-air, sheltered by a soaring alang-alang grass roof. It features a terrazzo floor and is furnished with a grand dining table and ten chairs; a wonderful place to enjoy a semi-alfresco dining experience within sight and sound of the sea. A guest washroom and toilet is discreetly positioned to one side.

The immaculate, well equipped western-style kitchen adjoins the dining pavilion, and is fully fitted with gas stove, oven, and numerous appliances. Here, the cook will prepare delicious meals from a menu of Indonesian and International dishes.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The master bedroom is situated within another self-contained single storey pavilion. It is entered by a pair of solid teak antique doors complemented by a teakwood floor, and is characterised by a king-size four-poster bed draped in white muslin, together with cane planter chairs, ceramic lamps and eye-catching local artwork. The bedroom is also equipped with a flat screen satellite TV with DVD/music system, together with a split air-conditioning unit and overhead ceiling fan. Large sliding glass doors open on to an outdoor verandah running the length of the bedroom. This sheltered timber deck is furnished with a huge daybed, where guests can relax and enjoy the ocean vista and the rhythmic murmur of the waves. A door leads off the bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe complete with shelves, hanging space and a safe deposit box. The romantic en-suite garden bathroom is walled for privacy and is characterised by an open-air shower on a Palimanan stand, bordered by frangipani, palms, giant taro leaves and colourful croton. The room is dominated by an oversized sunken bathtub, fashioned out of cream terrazzo. The toilet is hidden behind a half-wall, on top of which reclines a Buddha statue.

Two more air-conditioned bedrooms, each complete with an en-suite bathroom, are located on the ground floor of the main two-storey building. One room is furnished with twin beds, ideal for kids, together with desk, chair, radio/tape player, built in wardrobe, ceiling fan and safe deposit box. Antique doors open into a lush garden bathroom featuring a sheltered oval bathtub and outdoor shower, toilet and vanity unit with washbasin. Sliding glass doors lead from the bedroom onto a timber deck, which runs the full length of the front of the building and is furnished with a table and four high stools. A double bedroom is also accessed from the wooden deck, and is a mirror image of the room next door complete with adjoining garden bathroom. It is furnished with a king size bed, together with desk, chair, radio/tape player, built in wardrobe, ceiling fan and safe deposit box.

An external sweeping staircase curves up to a large wooden balcony deck with a comfortable daybed from where guests can enjoy fantastic panoramic views while chilling out with a book or a sunset cocktail. This upstairs area houses the fourth air-conditioned bedroom, complete with sliding glass doors onto the balcony. It is attractively furnished with a four-poster king-size canopied bed and a time-honoured chest of drawers, and is fitted with a ceiling fan and safe deposit box. It also features an antique wooden door that leads onto the balcony. A third door accesses a bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet and shell-veneered washbowl. The top section of the exterior wall is open to allow the fresh air to permeate together with the soothing sound of running water from the fountain in the garden below.

The study room is positioned next door to the upstairs bedroom and shares the adjoining bathroom. This room also doubles as a fifth bedroom, where guests can relax in snug, air-conditioned comfort. It is well equipped with a desk, Broadband Internet access, computer, 29-inch flat screen plasma TV with satellite reception and DVD/music system. There is also a wall unit with drawers, shelves and cupboards full of books, DVDs, music CDs, and games for the use of the guests. Glass-fronted doors open onto the verandah.

Practicalities, such as the staff quarters and laundry, are taken care of in the service area beside the entrance to the property, leaving the remainder of the villa free to enjoy the garden and ocean view. Guests also have use of a full-size tennis court and mountain bikes. The Location
Villa Tanju is located on the coast, within the beautiful agricultural belt between Kuta and Tanah Lot; an area that is home to some of the most luxurious private residences on the island. But unlike some of those clinically chic places that border on being soulless, Villa Tukad Pangi is all about design that makes you feel thoroughly at ease.

Consider the lounge. The built-in couches are generously long and wide, more like a day bed really. They feature extra-broad edges, so you never need to reach far for that book, or drink. And when it’s time for something more active, the upper pool is literally a couple of steps away. The retractable 145 inch projector screen is equally user-friendly. One touch and it descends from the lounge ceiling, after which you’re all set for Cable TV or a movie from our wide selection of DVDs.

Your bedroom has huge glass sliding doors and wooden venetian blinds. Open them and Bali floods in. Close them, and you can seal yourself off for some peace and quiet. You needn’t leave the room for entertainment; there’s a 26′ flat screen TV and 5.1 Channel Home Theatre speaker system. The sub-woofer sits under your bed, so you don’t just watch movies: you feel them. Last but certainly not least, the ensuite bathroom features a classic, open-to-the-skies Balinese shower surrounded by native plants. The large Rain head makes bathing even more of an indulgence.

From the lower infinity pool you’ll look out over the Pangi river and padi fields that stretch from across the opposite bank and off into the distance. You’re close to nature here. Butterflies flit past, dragonflies hover in the sunlight and birdsong mingles with the melody of the river. This pool is especially refreshing and not just because of the view it’s shaded by palms and towering gatep trees.

When you emerge from the lower pool, the Bale awaits. A Bale is a traditional gazebo found throughout Indonesia. The Tukad Pangi version is fully equipped with a ceiling fan, power points and reading lights, making it an excellent place to lounge, day or night.

It’s also ideal for some serious pampering. One of the highlights of your stay here will be a massage in the Bale, with the soothing sounds of the river to complete the experience.

Then there’s The Studio. Think of it as a multimedia room on steroids. It boasts an 84″Absolute projector screen, Infocus DLP Home Theater projector, DVD Player, Cable TV and Yamaha Home Theatre Surround Sound System.

Help yourself to our DVD library, or if you’ve brought your own entertainment, hook up your laptop to the projector using the pre-installed VGA cabling. Likewise, the Yamaha sound system has audio connections for your iPod or Smartphone.

The kitchen. One of the most important rooms in the Villa, because we believe great food is essential for a great holiday. That’s why we pride ourselves on providing you with an excellent menu. Our cook, Nyoman, has worked in some of Bali’s leading restaurants including Ku de Ta. So he’s equally adept at Asian and Western cuisine

Exploring the surroundings. A great way to do this is by bicycle. There are two “Monarch 6″ mountain bikes at your disposal. One of the most pleasant cycles is an early morning jaunt to Pererenan beach. It will take approximately 10 minutes and you can take in the sights and sounds of village life on the way there. If you’d rather walk, an evening stroll to Pererenan beach to view the sunset is highly recommended: it can be spectacular.

The Villa is only 10 minutes from the Greg Norman Designed Nirwana Golf Course and Le Meridian Hotels whilst equidistant from Bedugul and Nusa Dua Golf courses.

The approach to the Villa winds through Balinese villages surrounded by paddy fields and features ornate Balinese Temple and huge Banyan Trees.

Only 30 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Legian and Seminyak, this villa captures the very essence of Bali and all its culture charm.

Setting :

Set on a large rocky outcrop and the cloudy peaks of Gunung Agung to the north. Set on 2,400 square meters of gently sloping grounds, studded with coconut palms and fragrant frangipani trees, with a crystal clear 15 meter x 4,5 meter lap swimming pool this home is a wonderful retreat, far from the gaiety of tourist Bali.

Views from the Villa take in the Hindu Temple in the Ocean to the South, sunset over the ocean to the west, volcanoes to the North and East.

The villa was designed and built by PT. Triadi the same International Group who built the Four Seasons Hotel in Bali, and is refreshingly uncomplicated and simple in design with the sympathetic use of traditional Balinese architectural concepts and utilization of the best of local timbers and handcrafted stones and offers you every modern amenity.

The staff has been trained to serve you in comfort and elegance. Every effort will be made to accommodate your dining requests and special dietary needs. The cooks know how to shop for premium quality produce and all meals are provided to you at cost.

Naturally, Indonesian cuisine is a specialty and we have a wide selection of delicious choices. Vegetarian, Italian and BBQ style meals are also a favorite and our staff are well used to children and their often simpler menu needs.

Living and Dining :

The stunning 9 meter x 6 meter living pavilion with glass bi fold doors and separate dining pavilion have been designed for relaxation and entertainment and provide optimum enjoyment of the wonderful ocean, river and unforgettable sunset views. The pavilions with their high natural alang alang grass ceiling, the tall supporting coconut columns and the cool cream terrazzo paved floors are the very essence of tropical living. Overhead ceiling fans and gentle sea breezes keep everyone cool and the ample lounge area seating assures that there is room for everyone to relax. The lounge has a music system with surround sound speakers in the ceiling. The dining pavilion adjoins the open kitchen and both share stunning ocean views

A separate air -conditioned indoor study has a Television unit complete with VCD or DVD and Video systems.

The grounds are beautifully grassed and maintained. The wonderful 15 meter long swimming pool is lined with green stone with a white Palimanan stone surround. A swim in the pool, a surf at one of Bali’s most popular surf beaches, a beach walk, a bike ride up to the village and its surrounds or a quiet fish at the rock pools all make for an unforgettable holiday.

The villa has been designed with a master on ground level, two guest rooms with King-size and Twin bed in another building plus 1 king-size bedroom upstairs connecting with the study. Set in the midst of a splendid terraced rice field and alongside of a peaceful small river, Paloma Villa is a brilliant revelation of magnificent luxury, 40 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, 20 minutes from Seminyak famous shopping and entertainment area and 15 minutes from Bali Nirwana, one of the best Golf courses in Southeast Asia.

Villa Style

The exotic charm of this tranquil haven is further enhanced by the gracefully landscaped grounds holding a large swimming pool and lotus ponds. A compulsive attention to the details is obvious throughout the grounds and interiors. The furnishings and decorations are the culmination of years of collecting traditional cultures by the owner.

Indonesian antiques, traditional stone carvings, flamboyant woodcarvings, are just some of the ornamental elements on display throughout the buildings. General Description

Sited a top of 2,800m2 lush tropical garden by the riverside and rice fields, Paloma Villa is composed of two different buildings within a high wall to ensure total privacy and tranquility.

The Main House consists of three air-conditioned bedrooms completed with en-suite bathrooms; a large dining area over viewing the swimming pool and garden; a warm welcoming spacious living area; air-conditioned TV room; a fully equipped kitchen with small comfortable dining area and pantry room on the other side. A modern design wine cellar between the kitchen and main dining area adds the luxurious feeling of the villa. The leisure of the living room is added by the pool table on the upstairs room.

On the other side of a lush garden, lays the second building for the Guest Wing consists of two air-conditioned bedrooms also completed with en-suite bathroom, a living area, kitchen and a plunge pool. The two buildings are connected with a lush tropical garden which holds a thatched roof bale and a large overflow swimming pool. The two buildings share an enclosed car park which can hold several vehicles. All the modern equipment such as large TV screen, stereo sound system, DVD players as well as wireless high speed internet connection is provided to ensure the necessary international high level of comfort.
